RN-Educator - Emergency Department 001 - Full-Time,Day - Ascension Providence Hospital, Novi Campus

7a-7p, 40 hours per week

49 all private rooms equipped with top of the line equipment
Ability to care for all types of complaints at any age
Level 2 Trauma Center
Comprehensive Stroke Center
Express care unit for minor complaints

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Providence Hospital, Novi Campus, you will have the opportunity to assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities planning for an assigned service or population.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
  • Identifies and/or develops teaching tools and instructional materials.
  • Keeps records of educational activities and prepares reports.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Preferred Credential(s):

  • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Educator specializing in Childbirth.

Education:

  • Diploma
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required
  • BSN preferred

Work Experience:

  • None required.
  • At least 1 year of RN experience in an Emergency Department strongly preferred
